Thoughts for Spiritual Living
Baba Virsa Singhji said:
The true reason for meeting with each other is to see how to develop faith in the one God. We all have the same goal. Truth and love will always be victorious. Love for God will always be blessed. As Guru Nanak said, "Ultimately falsehood always loses and truth is victorious."
With the blessing of God, we can live together with love as sisters and brothers. Always recognize that there is one Father, and we are all His children. As Guru Gobind Singh said, "Recognize all people as one human race."
Speak of this throughout the world. God is so powerful that He can change the whole world in the blink of an eye. The Guru said, "If you think of Him with love for half a breath, He will instantly appear. One who meditates on Him withfull concentration for even one second will not fall into the snare of Death but will live eternally with God.'

Eternal flame of the havan fire
Told by Swami Bua in Hinduism Today:Hundreds of years ago, one of India's great Tamil saints said:
It is easy to tame the rogue elephant. It is easy to tie the mouth of a bear. It is easy to mount the back of a lion. It is easy to charm poisonous snakes. It is easy to conquer the celestial and the non-celestial realms. It is easy to trek the worlds invisible. It is easy to command the angelic heavens. It is easy to retain youth eternally. It is easy to enter the body of others. It is easy to walk on water and sit in burning fire. It is easy to attain all the siddhis (yoga powers). But to remain still is very, very difficult indeed.
Quote from IIC's Faith and Interfaith video interview with Farid Esack, South African Muslim theologian, writer and social activist
At the end of the day Allah will not ask me what I achieved in life, or whether I changed the world.I will only be asked about whether I did what I could do. That's the only question that will be asked of us.
You were given so much time, so much money; these are the talents that I gave you. What did you do with them?
0Not whether you changed the world's problems. Whether you brought about gender equality, interfaith understanding, harmony, solved the problems of the Balkans, Jews and Muslims. You won't get asked any of these things.
What did you do with what I gave you? That 's all that we are responsible for.
And so we are accountable to God at the end of the day, and that's it.
